Never acted before? That's the whole point. Go On So is an adults-only acting studio in Douglas, Cork built for complete beginners, nervous first-timers and anyone who's been meaning to try it for years. No experience, no audition, no showing off.
What's stopping you?
“I've never acted in my life.”
Grand. That's who this is for. Nobody in the room has a drama degree and nobody is going to ask you to perform on night one.
“I'll be the oldest / youngest there.”
Our beginners are adults of every age, from twenties to seventies, and most arrive on their own.
“I'd be mortified.”
Nerves are grand here. We start with games and warm-ups, not monologues. You never have to do anything you're not ready for.
“Is there an audition?”
No audition, no showcase, no pressure. Just book a place and turn up.
How beginners usually start
1 · Try a Friday
Go On So Sessions run every Friday, 7:30pm–10pm, €10 on the door. One night, no commitment.
2 · Take the 8-week course
First Night Nerves starts Monday 28 September, 7:30pm. €150 for 8 weeks in a small group.
3 · Keep going
Self-tape clinics, audition workshops and accent training when you're ready for more.

Social Confidence Through Drama

A low-pressure drama class for adults who find traditional group settings draining. No forced participation, no surprise call-outs.

Cork, not Dublin. Free parking right outside the door at Donnybrook Commercial Centre, five minutes from Douglas village and about 30 minutes from Cork city on the 207 bus route. We're upstairs, sharing the stairs with Sacred Body Yoga Studio.
