A room for the ones who nearly signed up
Go On So exists for the person who has said “I'd love to try acting” at different meetups but has never done a thing about it. This is the nudge.
We're a small acting studio in Donnybrook Commercial Centre in Douglas — a bright, no-frills room with a kettle that's always on. No mirrors, because nobody needs to watch themselves being brave.
Classes are capped at only 10 people max! There's no audition to get in, no showcase you didn't ask for, and no tutor sitting at the back with a clipboard. Our acting classes for beginners assume you've done nothing since a school nativity, and our professional courses assume you've plenty to build on.
We teach adults only, and mostly beginners but soon we'll be teaching improvers, screen actors and anyone who's fancied trying it. We're a new studio with experienced people. Most just want a Wednesday that isn't the same as last Wednesday.

What we believe
NERVES ARE GRAND
Nerves mean it matters. We don't try to kill them, we teach you what to do with them.
Play before technique
You'll do the theory eventually. First you'll mess about, because that's where the good stuff is.
Everyone's welcome
Any age, any accent, any level, any body. If you can turn up, you can have a go.

Cheryl Walsh
Actor, coach and corporate trainer from Cork via Melbourne. Cheryl acts in theatre, commercials and TV, and has spent years on the other side of the room too — coaching actors and training people in business to speak like they mean it.
She sits on the committee of the Cork Shakespearean Company and successfully produced Shakespeare in the Gardens at Fota in 2026. If there's something happening in Cork theatre, she's usually somewhere near it.
Go On So is the room she wished existed when she started — small groups, no auditions, and nobody watching from the back.
